Inspire Science
MHE Inspire Science is a comprehensive K-12 science curriculum designed to foster student engagement and deep understanding through phenomena-driven learning and the 5E instructional model. The program integrates real-world phenomena as a starting point for scientific inquiry, encouraging students to ask questions and investigate natural events. The 5E model—Engage, Explore, Explain, Elaborate, and Evaluate—provides a structured approach to learning that aligns with how students naturally acquire knowledge. This model guides students through the process of connecting with a topic, conducting hands-on investigations, developing explanations based on evidence, applying concepts to new situations, and demonstrating their understanding. By combining phenomena-driven learning with the 5E model, MHE Inspire Science aims to cultivate scientific thinking, problem-solving skills, and a lifelong interest in science among students.
